Oct 07, 2019 MacOS Catalina is the next major Mac operating system update, and includes a variety of new features and capabilities, including Sidecar which allows an iPad to run as a secondary display for a Mac, the replacement of iTunes by three separate apps to manage Music, Podcasts, and TV, updates and revisions to bundled apps like Notes, Photos, Reminders, and Safari, Screen Time to track and limit. May 11, 2020 To participate, iOS users will need to make sure to set up a family group on Microsoft's Family website and then sign up to test through a form on.
The app store licensing certainly seems very friendly in terms of multiple computers you own.
Presumably apps can be used by all family users on a Mac whether or not they are installed/purchased via an administartor or standard account?
I assume that I do not have to authorise each login account individually with my iTunes credentials in order to use an account under different logins?
Family members probably won't use the apps I buy much anyway, but I use several separate login accounts myself on the same machine for different tasks and it would be a pain to have to authorise each login separately.
Having only recently purchased an iLife family pack, was a bit peeved to see how much cheaper the 3 main iLife components are, but other purchases eg Aperture will more than make up for this. I was hoping for iWork 11 as I have an older iWork family pack and had been waiting before upgrading, but again the cheaper prices and fair licensing will make it a more viable upgrade though I bet iWork 11 won't be long appearing!
